ENROLMENT 2009
As of September 30, 2009, Burnaby School District has a K-12 student population of 23,545 full-time equivalent (FTE) students. This includes 12,265 students in 40 elementary schools and 10,871 students in 8 secondary schools and alternative secondary programs. The district's total school aged enrolment is expected to increase during the school year by an additional 741 FTE students who will enrol in distributed learning and international education programs.
